As the voice of rental housing providers in Saskatchewan, we deliver knowledge, promote best practices, and advocate for a strong and resilient rental housing industry. We are the leading community of industry professionals, committed to providing safe, high-quality rental homes for the people of Saskatchewan.

Our Objective

By promoting innovative practices, advocating for equitable legislation, and supporting our members, we work to help sustain a rental-housing industry that serves the needs of renters, owners, and managers.

Landon initially joined the Association in 2022 during a work term through the Edward’s School of Business Co-op program. Following the successful completion of his Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce with a major in Marketing and the attainment of a Global Studies Certificate, he rejoined RHSK in 2024.

Landon supports the Association’s membership by answering their calls, he distributes the Landlord Ledger newsletter, manages the social media, and organizes events and programs.

In his spare time, Landon enjoys camping, barbecuing, reading, and curling. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Sutherland Curling Club since 2020.

Tinu joined the Association to help coordinate a special project aimed at creating a database for improving housing information within a 30-kilometre radius of the Jansen Mining site.

She holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Quantity Surveying 2005, an MSc degree in Project Management 2009 and is both a Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Chartered Project Manager with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors United Kingdom.

Tinu has a wealth of experience within the real estate and construction industry, managing and coordinating a wide variety of projects whether big or small. She is passionate about all things in the built industry and is committed to helping with community developments and growth.

RHSK’s History

Flag

1994

We were incorporated as the Saskatchewan Landlords Association (SKLA) to provide a voice for landlords and property managers on the issue of damage deposits.

1998

We changed our name to the Saskatchewan Rental Housing Industry Association to more accurately reflect our membership.

2015

The Board to go back to our original roots and are proud to be the SKLA (Saskatchewan Landlord Association).

2019

The Board hired its first full-time Executive Officer and moved the office to downtown Saskatoon.

2020

We successfully developed and launched our first strategic plan that will guide the Association until 2023.

2024

We successfully rebranded as Rental Housing Saskatchewan. Our new name and brand reflect how RHSK opens the door to education and opportunity for rental housing providers across the province.
